A man who had just undergone a physical checkup got a telegram from his doctor, "Regret to inform you that tests show you have hypertension, angina and ulcers." An hour later, however, another telegram came. "Sorry, first telegram was a mistake. Mixed up your test results with another." To which the peeved patient replied in a telegram. "Too late. Have already committed suicide."
건강진단을 막 끝낸 한 회사 간부가 담당 의사로부터 전보를 받았다. "유감스럽게도 검진 결과 귀하는 고혈압ㆍ협심증, 그리고 궤양임." 그런데 한시간 후 또 다시 전보가 왔다. "죄송, 첫번째 전보는 착오였음. 다른 검사 결과와 혼동됐음." 화가 난 환자는 이렇게 전보를 보냈다. "너무 늦었음. 이미 자살해버렸음."
