A man visiting a cemetery and heard a second man who was kneeling at a nearby grave crying-out loudly, “Why did you have to die! Why did you have to die!”
The first man was so moved by the other man’s obvious pain, that he walked over and lightly placed a comforting hand on the man’s shoulder and asked him, “Is this your wife?”
“No”, replied the weeping man, “Her first husband!”
한 남자가 공동묘지에 갔다가 무덤 옆에 무릎을 꿇고 앉아 “왜 돌아가셨나요? 왜 돌아가셨나요?” 하며 대성통곡하는 남자의 목소리를 들었다. 이 남자는 울고 있는 남자의 고통을 알 것 같았다. 그는 그에게로 걸어가 위로의 손길을 건네며 물었다. “부인의 무덤인가요?”
울고 있던 남자가 답했다. “아니오. 그녀의 전 남편의 무덤이랍니다.”
